Legend says there once were twin boys named Gregory and David, who lived in a forest outside of England. The twins were alike in many ways, but they were also very different. Gregory had an interest in science and how the world worked. David, on the other hand, was very interested in magic. It bothered Gregory that his brother was so interested in something that was make believe, so he set out to prove to his brother that it wasn't real. He led his brother out to the swing they used to play on when they were really young. "Why must you believe in this nonsense David?" "Do you not know that it is imaginary?" David replied, "Poor brother, magic is real and I can show you." David led Gregory far into the forest between two trees that was a gateway into another realm. When Gregory stepped between the two trees he immediately saw a dragon in the distance and was amazed. David smiled and said, " I have someone I would like for you to meet, but first we must find the tower where she lives." They traveled for several hours through swamps with creatures Gregory just couldn't believe every existed. They reached a tall tower in the middle of a clearing and David shouted, "Amethyst, my friend, I have brung my bother to prove to him that magic does exist and I was hoping you could help me change his mind." Gregory looked up at the tower and saw no stairs leading up to the top of the tower, then all of a sudden he saw what looked to be a young woman floating down toward them. She gracefully landed on her feet and said, "You must be the David I have heard so much about. My name is Amethyst, Princess of Ameris. Not only am I a princess, but I am also a witch. See that tree over there that has not fruit? Blink and look again." Gregory turned toward the tree with no fruit and did what Amethyst said and was amazed to find fruit on the tree. "How did you do that?!" He asked. "Magic of course," said Amethyst. Gregory walked straight toward his brother after what he had just witnessed and said, "I'm so sorry that I didn't believe in magic before David, but I do now!"
What a cute story!! You have a wonderful imagination and you are great at writing! I love that in the end, the magic is what prevails! Great job!
